Mass Performance of the “Andijan Polka” Enters the Guinness World Records

Uzbekistan has added another achievement to the list of world records: the mass performance of the renowned Andijan Polka has been officially entered into the Guinness World Records.
According to the Andijan regional administration (hokimiyat), the record was set as part of the celebrations marking Andijan's designation as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2026. A total of 20,000 performers took part simultaneously at Babur Arena, presenting one of Uzbekistan's most iconic traditional dances.
The performance was observed by an official Guinness World Records adjudicator. After confirming that all the required criteria had been met, the record was officially certified.
Earlier, the Centre of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent was also included in the Guinness World Records, having been recognised as the world's largest museum dedicated to Islamic civilization.
