Uzbek-Spanish Universities Forum Held in Madrid and Barcelona

The cities of Madrid and Barcelona hosted the Forum of Universities of Uzbekistan and Spain, serving as an important platform for strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, science, and academic exchanges.
The forum brought together more than 100 representatives from universities of both countries, including around 30 rectors of higher education institutions from Uzbekistan.
The main objective of the event was to expand direct contacts between universities of the two nations, promote joint educational and research projects, and explore international best practices in higher education.
During plenary sessions and thematic discussions, participants exchanged views on prospects for enhancing cooperation in human capital development, the introduction of modern educational technologies, the strengthening of professional competencies among students and faculty members, and closer interaction between the academic and scientific communities of the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to academic mobility, the implementation of joint educational and research initiatives, the organization of short-term training programs, and the holding of reciprocal lectures, seminars, and master classes.
On the sidelines of the forum, numerous bilateral meetings were held between university leaders from Uzbekistan and Spain. As a result of these discussions, agreements were reached on the implementation of new projects, and several cooperation agreements were signed to promote academic and scientific ties, facilitate joint research, and encourage the exchange of expertise.
Participants highlighted the significant potential of Uzbek-Spanish cooperation in higher education and expressed their interest in further expanding partnerships between universities of the two countries.
It was emphasized that the outcomes of the forum will contribute to improving the quality of education, expanding opportunities for students and academic staff, and strengthening scientific and innovation cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain.
