Uzbekistan and Spain are strengthening cooperation in the porcelain industry

The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a meeting between representatives of the Khokimiyat of the city of Angren and Spanish companies “Gedepsa”, “Enhol Group”, and “Systemfoc”, which specialize in porcelain production.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for localizing porcelain production in Uzbekistan with the involvement of leading Spanish brands, modern production lines, and technological solutions. The Spanish side expressed interest in organizing production directly in Uzbekistan using local industrial base, raw materials, and manufacturing capacities.

The representatives of the Spanish companies were presented with the industrial and investment potential of the city of Angren, as well as existing production sites and enterprises where modern Spanish technologies, equipment, and investments could be introduced. Special attention was given to opportunities for modernizing existing production facilities, expanding product ranges, and increasing export potential.

Particular emphasis was placed on the supply of modern equipment, the introduction of energy-efficient and innovative technologies, and the creation of joint ventures oriented both toward the domestic market and exports to regional countries.

The sides noted the high potential of the city of Angren as one of the country’s industrial centers for the development of the porcelain industry and highlighted the importance of expanding industrial cooperation between Uzbek enterprises and Spanish manufacturers. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue substantive negotiations and develop joint investment projects.
