A package of agreements was signed in Madrid following the Uzbek-Spanish negotiations

During an official visit to Madrid, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, José Manuel Albares.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Spanish relations, with particular attention to enhancing political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and developing interaction in various areas of mutual interest. The talks were held in a constructive and business-like atmosphere.
Following the meeting, a number of bilateral documents were signed, including the Cooperation Programme between the foreign ministries for 2026–2028, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, as well as a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the training of diplomatic personnel. The signed documents create a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation and expanding practical collaboration.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the consistent development of the partnership aimed at strengthening multifaceted ties between Uzbekistan and Spain.
