President of Uzbekistan: Together, becoming even more united, we will build a new life, a new history, and a new future!

On March 21, a ceremonial event dedicated to the nationwide holiday of Navruz was held at the “Yangi Uzbekistan” park in the capital, reports the Dunyo news agency.
According to the presidential press service, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the event and delivered a speech.
Emphasizing that this year Navruz is celebrated together with the sacred Ramadan Hayit, the head of state noted that these bright days, symbolizing the awakening of nature and spiritual purification, are a celebration of kindness, unity, and prosperity for all citizens. Congratulations and best wishes were also extended to compatriots studying and working abroad.
The President stressed that increasing attention is being paid to ensuring a достойная жизнь for every citizen, regardless of nationality, language, or religion. It was highlighted that this year the holiday is held under the motto: “Glorifying Navruz means glorifying the human being.”
It was noted at the ceremony that large-scale efforts have begun to bring the spirit of New Uzbekistan to all regions, villages, auls, and mahallas. Important steps are being taken to create new jobs, reduce poverty, and strengthen social protection. New modern enterprises, communication networks, comfortable housing, and facilities in education, healthcare, culture, and sports are being built. It was emphasized that these efforts will expand even further in the future.
The head of state expressed deep respect for skilled farmers and dehkans, noting that their noble work ensures prosperity and abundance in people’s homes, and that the state and society will always support them.
It was particularly emphasized that New Uzbekistan is becoming a space of great achievements and victories for the youth. Today, new names and heroes are emerging in education, science, culture and arts, sports, IT, and business. The entire nation is rightfully proud of this educated, energetic, and ambitious young generation.
Addressing the youth, the President noted that they have the great honor of becoming the creators of the Third Renaissance. He called on them to value the peaceful life they have today, the opportunities created, and the efforts of parents and teachers, and to continuously study, improve themselves, expand their knowledge, and develop their skills. He expressed readiness to create all necessary conditions for the country’s youth.
The ceremony also paid special attention to the importance of the mahalla system in public life. It was noted that within the Year of Mahalla Development and Society Development, large-scale programs are being implemented. Confidence was expressed that the older generation, members of mahalla committees, and active citizens will play an active role in strengthening peace, mutual respect, and addressing local social issues.
Taking the opportunity, the President sincerely congratulated the chairpersons and activists of local self-government bodies on the Day of Mahalla Workers, celebrated the following day, and wished them further success.
As emphasized, the ideas of peace, friendship, and cooperation embodied in Navruz, which have served as a spiritual bridge between peoples for millennia, are becoming increasingly relevant in today’s turbulent world. Representatives of more than 130 nationalities living in the country celebrate this holiday as one big family. It was noted that such friendship, mutual respect, and unity are the most reliable guarantee for building New Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that all efforts will be mobilized to further strengthen interethnic and interfaith harmony. It was also noted that, together with neighboring brotherly countries, priority will be given to enhancing Central Asia’s status as a region of peace, brotherhood, and cooperation.
The head of state also sincerely congratulated ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations present at the event on the International Day of Navruz, wishing prosperity to their countries and peoples.
Addressing the people once again, the President said:
“By continuing our ancient traditions, planting trees, cultivating gardens, and improving our homes and mahallas, we will make our lives even more beautiful and prosperous.
We will once again prove that we are a nation striving for great achievements based on good neighborliness, a spirit of friendship, and noble deeds.
Together, becoming even more united, we will build a new life, a new history, and a new future!”
The celebration continued with a large concert program. Performances by folklore and ethnographic groups, artists, national games, and askiya brought joy and vivid impressions to all attendees.
The event was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, members of parliament and government, guests from various regions, and members of the diplomatic corps.
