New Chairman of the Tourism Committee Appointed

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates, Abdulaziz Akkulov, has been appointed Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.

Born in 1985, Abdulaziz Akkulov graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics with a degree in International Tourism Management.

Since 2006, he has worked at the State Committee for Tourism Development, holding various positions. From November 2018 to February 2020, he served as Acting Chairman of the Committee. He was subsequently appointed First Deputy Chairman, and in April 2021 became Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports.

In September 2022, he presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
