Bakhtiyor Saidov: Uzbekistan supports all efforts aimed at reforming the OSCE

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, participated yesterday in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, reports the Dunyo News Agency.
“During the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, we once again confirmed our firm commitment to constructive dialogue, regional cooperation, and the revitalization of the multilateral system,” wrote the Uzbek Foreign Minister on his Telegram channel. “We emphasized the urgent need to restore trust and overcome the deep fragmentation that currently characterizes international relations.
In a context where geopolitical tensions, armed conflicts, cyber threats, and climate disasters increasingly transcend national borders, international institutions, including the OSCE, must be strengthened to fulfill their core mission.
Uzbekistan supports all efforts aimed at reforming the organization to enhance its effectiveness, preserve its inclusive nature, and strengthen its capacity to respond to contemporary challenges.
We also highlighted the successful transformation of Central Asia into a region characterized by trust, dialogue, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Over the past eight years, through the joint efforts of our regional countries, long-standing issues have been resolved, economic integration has accelerated, and transport links have been strengthened.”
