A View from Spain: The Opening of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” as a Step Toward Deeper Integration and the Creation of New Opportunities for Regional Development

The President of the Pan-European Union in Spain, Carlos Uriarte Sánchez, commented to the Dunyo News Agency on the outcomes of the state visit to Uzbekistan by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev:
— The results of the negotiations between the two leaders and the events surrounding them produce a truly impressive effect, demonstrating the maturity, foresight, and strategic depth of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
It is encouraging to see that cooperation between the two brotherly nations is developing in a comprehensive manner: from economic cooperation and the creation of modern industrial value chains to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties, scientific exchanges, and joint initiatives in the fields of ecology and water resources.
The opening of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” deserves special recognition as a practical step toward deepening integration and creating new opportunities for regional development.
It is important to emphasize that the political will demonstrated by the leaders of both states — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev — serves as a powerful stimulus for the further expansion of cooperation. Confidence in strengthening transport links, energy partnership, and scientific and educational programs inspires optimism and opens up broad prospects for the entire region.
Particular satisfaction is generated by the emphasis on cultural projects, as they create living bridges of friendship, mutual understanding, and spiritual unity — qualities that are especially needed in today’s world.
I would like to note that such visits and agreements form a solid intellectual and political foundation for the sustainable and harmonious development of Central Asia. I am confident that the agreements reached will not only give fresh impetus to national economies but will also serve as an example of constructive regional diplomacy across the entire Eurasian space.
