On 23–24 October, the President of Uzbekistan will pay an official visit to Brussels

At the invitation of the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay an official visit to Brussels on 23–24 October.
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the program of the visit to the European capital includes bilateral negotiations with the heads of the main institutions of the European Union.
The parties will discuss current issues related to further expanding and deepening multifaceted relations within the framework of the high-level agreements reached at the Samarkand Summit in April of this year.
The talks will focus on advancing concrete projects and practical cooperation programs in trade and economy, investment and finance, innovation, energy, transport and communications, science and education, as well as other priority fields.
The signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU is planned.
During the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will also hold a meeting with the leadership of Belgium and receive top executives of leading European companies and banks to accelerate joint plans for developing technological and industrial cooperation.
