In the first 8 months of the year, Uzbekistan increased imports by 11.8%, reaching 28.5 billion US dollars

According to the National Committee of Statistics, Uzbekistan’s imports amounted to 28.5 billion USD in January - August 2025, an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
During the eight months of the current year, Uzbekistan imported goods and services from more than 170 countries worldwide.
The largest volumes of imports came from the following countries:
China - 8.5 billion USD,
Russia - 5.4 billion USD,
Kazakhstan - 2.1 billion USD,
Turkey - 1.2 billion USD,
Republic of Korea - 1.1 billion USD,
Germany - 774 million USD,
India - 734.3 million USD,
Turkmenistan - 581.6 million USD,
Belarus - 478.5 million USD,
USA - 416.3 million USD.
Imports from other countries amounted to about 7.2 billion USD.
The positive import dynamics indicate growing demand in the national economy, expansion of industrial production, and the strengthening of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade relations with key partner countries.
It should be recalled that Uzbekistan’s exports amounted to 23 billion USD in January - August 2025, which is 31.3% higher than in the same period of the previous year.
