President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to China

At the invitation of President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to China from August 30 to September 3.
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, on August 31 – September 1 the Uzbek leader will take part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the SCO+ Summit, which will be held in the city of Tianjin.
The agenda of the events will include pressing issues of expanding multilateral cooperation in priority areas and further improving the activities of the organization. The meetings are expected to result in the adoption of the Tianjin Declaration, as well as joint documents and decisions aimed at fostering and strengthening partnerships in the fields of security, digital economy, green industry, energy, tourism, and other sectors.
On September 2 in Beijing, the President of Uzbekistan will hold talks with President Xi Jinping of China, as well as meetings with officials and heads of leading Chinese companies. The discussions will focus on deepening the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China and enhancing practical cooperation.
On September 3, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
