Tashkent is hosting the high-level meeting “Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Europe – Cooperation for Common Development

On August 18–19, Tashkent is hosting the high-level meeting “Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Europe – Cooperation for Common Development.”
The forum is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the Head of State, and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The event is attended by around 40 foreign participants, including former heads of state and government of Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Latvia, Croatia, Austria, and the Czech Republic, as well as heads of international organizations such as the UN, the World Bank, and the SCO.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the participants with a welcoming message, which was delivered by the Presidential Advisor, Abdulaziz Kamilov.
The leader of Uzbekistan highlighted the active role of the Nizami Ganjavi Center in studying international issues and emphasized the importance of discussing the interconnectedness of Central Asia and the South Caucasus, as well as prospects for cooperation between these regions and Europe.
