UN Public Service Forum has started in Samarkand

One of the largest international events in the field of public administration — the UN Public Service Forum 2025 — has begun in Samarkand, reports Dunyo News Agency.
For the first time, Uzbekistan is hosting this prestigious forum, which will take place from June 23 to 25.
The event is expected to gather a record number of participants — ministers, representatives of government bodies, international organizations, academia, civil society, and business from dozens of countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The main theme of the forum is “Five Years to 2030: Accelerating Public Service Delivery for a Sustainable Future.” The program includes plenary sessions, thematic discussions, presentations of best practices, and strategic negotiations focused on new approaches to public administration.
The forum is organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) in cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Agency for Civil Service Development, and the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
Since 2003, the forum has been held in countries such as the United States, Austria, Tanzania, South Korea, and others. In 2025, Samarkand has become the new focal point for global dialogue on the future of public service.
