Prime Minister of Slovakia paid an official visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, paid an official visit to our country on June 8–10.
In accordance with the visit program, high-level talks were held in Tashkent, during which issues related to the further development of Uzbek-Slovak multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to expanding the partnership in priority areas such as trade, investment and innovation, agriculture, industry, energy, and tourism. Issues of cooperation in the fields of organized labor migration, as well as cultural, humanitarian, and educational spheres, were also considered. An exchange of views on international agenda items, including mutual support on multilateral platforms, also took place.
Following the talks held in Tashkent, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico signed a joint declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership relations.
In the presence of the leaders a ceremony of exchange of bilateral agreements was also held, in particular:
- on training of diplomatic personnel;
- on cooperation in the field of agriculture;
- on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment of goods;
- on cooperation in the regulation of energy markets;
- Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2025-2026;
- Program of cooperation in the field of standardization for 2025-2026.
As part of the program of his stay, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico also took part in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.
