President of Uzbekistan participated in the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took part in the official opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games, held in the city of Astana.

The event, which took place at the Astana Arena, was also attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and other international guests.

The tournament features more than 2,000 athletes from around 90 countries, including representatives from Uzbekistan. Our compatriots will compete in sports such as kurash, alysh, tug-of-war, archery, horse racing, strongman competitions, and more.

Participants were treated to a theatrical performance celebrating the rich culture, history, traditions, and customs of nomadic peoples.
