Uzbekistan exports fruits and vegetables for US$760.2 million
According to the results of January-September 2022, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to US$760.2 million, in physical terms – 1.23 million tons. The growth rate compared to the same period in 2021 amounted to 21.7%.
The largest share in the export of fruits and vegetables in value terms is occupied by grapes (incl. dried) – 21.2%, peach – 9.0%, mung bean – 6.1%, tomato – 5.9%, melons and watermelons – 4.7%, sweet cherry – 4.4%, cabbage – 4.3%, onion – 3.8%.
In January-September 2022, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 5.4%.
The main countries importing Uzbek fruits and vegetables include Russia (44.4%), Kazakhstan (21.0%), China (6.8%), Pakistan (6.4%), Kyrgyzstan (4.4%), Afghanistan (2.6%), Turkey (2.3%), Belarus (1.9%), Iran (1.3%), Azerbaijan (1.0%).
