The premiere of the Uzbek film “The Great Amir and Donna Maria” will take place in Madrid

On April 23, a vibrant cultural event will take place in the capital of Spain — the premiere of the feature film “The Great Amir and Donna Maria.”
The premiere will be held in a modern cinema located within the cultural and entertainment complex “Palacio de Hielo,” one of Madrid’s well-known venues.
The event is organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain in cooperation with the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan. Significant support for the project is also provided by the prestigious organization “Casa Asia,” which plays an important role in fostering dialogue between Spain and Asian countries.
The audience can expect not just a film screening, but a full-fledged cultural event that brings together history, art, and international cooperation. The film presents the image of a great ruler, his era, and legacy, appealing both to specialists and to a wide audience.
The film was produced by order of the Cinematography Agency at the Uzbekfilm studio in collaboration with the Turkish film company “Kanguru.” It features previously little-known and instructive episodes from the life and activities of Sahibkiran Amir Temur.
The screenplay was written by renowned writer Khayriddin Sultan, and the film is directed by Yolkin Tuychiev. According to the creators, the film stands out for its complex storyline, original interpretation of the subject, as well as a combination of historical and modern elements, rich dramaturgy, and strong visual expression.
The organizers note that the premiere will be an important step in promoting the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan on the international stage.
