The President of Tajikistan will visit Uzbekistan on a state visit

At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will pay a state visit to the country on March 26–27, reports the Dunyo news agency.
According to the presidential press service, the visit will include high-level talks and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council co-chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Key topics on the extensive agenda will include further strengthening Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship and good neighborliness, as well as advancing strategic partnership and alliance.
Special attention will be given to enhancing political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and interregional cooperation, deepening industrial cooperation, improving transport connectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and continuing broad cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state will also exchange views on pressing international and regional issues, as well as cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
The program also предусматривает the launch of a number of new joint projects and the signing of a substantial package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation.
