Uzbekistan and Spain Expand Partnership in the Food Industry

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan visited the production facilities of the Spanish company Exclusivas La Cota (Cortenvas), which is part of Grupo Trepal.
During the visit, Ambassador Farrukh Tursunov held talks with the founder and director of the company, Senen Fernández, and familiarized himself with the production lines as well as the company’s technological processes.
The company’s management presented the technological solutions in use, including modern Spanish equipment for processing and packaging cheese products, which ensures consistent product quality, compliance with European standards, and high efficiency of production processes.
Following the negotiations, the parties noted their mutual interest in developing cooperation. In particular, an agreement was reached on the possibility of introducing similar cheese processing and packaging technologies in Uzbekistan, as well as exploring prospects for supplying cheese products from Uzbek producers to the Spanish market.
It was noted that Grupo Trepal has a well-developed network of partnerships with leading retail chains in Spain, including major retailers such as Carrefour, Mercadona, and others, which opens up additional opportunities for promoting products on the European market.
The parties expressed confidence that the development of cooperation in the food industry, the introduction of modern dairy processing technologies, and the expansion of trade relations will contribute to strengthening economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain, as well as integrating Uzbek producers into the value chains of dairy processing, production, and export to the European market.
