President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discusses plans to enhance the activities of American business in Uzbekistan
On September 18, during a working visit to the United States, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Board of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm.
The meeting was also attended by executives from GE HealthCare, Oppenheimer, Cerberus, CNH, and Cintana Education.
The Leader of Uzbekistan congratulated the meeting participants on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, emphasizing the key role of this structure in enhancing bilateral trade, economic, and investment collaboration.
The fruitful results of the joint business forum held on September 15 this year in Washington, with the participation of representatives of more than 250 U.S. companies and banks, were noted with great satisfaction.
Chairman of the Board of the Chamber Carolyn Lamm expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his political leadership in implementing a program of irreversible reforms in Uzbekistan, which contributes to the growing interest and trust of American business in the country. It was noted that the Chamber has included the largest U.S. companies over the past few years. Their total number has reached 50.
At the meeting, specific plans of American businesses to expand activities in Uzbekistan were discussed.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on adopting an action plan for implementing joint projects.
