The President of Uzbekistan notes the importance of developing innovative cooperation with the UAE
On April 4, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.
Prospects for the implementation of specific projects and programs in high technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, modernization of urban infrastructure, disclosure of the trade and investment potential of the regions and other issues were considered.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that these areas should form the future agenda of the upcoming bilateral summit at the highest level.
Interest was expressed in further enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in improving the efficiency of ongoing reforms, training professional management personnel and programmers, introducing e-government and other areas.
Minister Al Gergawi conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister of the country, Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum to the President of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan gave instructions to update the action plan, which provides for the acceleration of the implementation of current programs and the preparation of promising projects.
Following the meeting, Minister Al Gergawi was awarded a high state award – the Order of ‘Dustlik” (Friendship) for his great contribution to deepening the multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE and for all-round support for the reform program in New Uzbekistan.
